I’ve been thinking a lot about something that I actually get to start next week: Cowork Miércoles. It feels like one of those things that just makes sense when I stop to think about it.
Over the past three years, I’ve had the privilege of creating a work space that actually makes sense for my brain. But let's be real, creating that space hasn’t come without its challenges. As much as I love the moments when I get lost In the flow of work, getting my brain to the place where it’s firing on all cylinders isn’t always as easy as it sounds. And trust me, the loneliness creeps in. It’s a cycle…sometimes I crave connection, sometimes I don’t. Sometimes a coffee shop feels like the solution, and other times, it doesn’t.
And here’s what I know for sure: We all need space to create and collaborate. There’s something powerful that happens when you bring people together, even if the goal isn’t to “achieve” something in that moment. Sometimes, it’s just about being in the same room. I truly believe it’s in these space where I believe gifts are identified, cultivated, and shared.
Cowork Miércoles is really just that, its a time to simply show up together. We’ll meet each Wednesday at a different local coffee shop. No expectations. No agendas. Just people, in a space, working side by side. Sometimes, it’s the connections made in the small moments that lead to the biggest breakthroughs.
My hope is that it becomes a place where people feel supported by one another, where we can show up as we are, and just get things done, no matter how big or small those things might be.
For those of you who don’t live here, I still wanted to share this because so much of what I do is rooted in creating spaces where we can connect, and where we can push past the cycles of loneliness or the feeling of being stuck.
If you’ve ever been part of something like this or have ideas to make it even better, I’d love to hear from you. One aspect I love about exploring this is the idea that it can be a resource I share and even take alongside where I find myself on any given Wednesday.
Today I did a little preview day with just a few others to get in the groove and I made a little behind the scene video (if you really want some entertainment go ahead and make your way to The Giving Gifts instagram where I did my first spanish voice over hahaha.
